Connect Hetzner Object Storage

Hetzner Object Storage is S3-compatible. Kelp connects to it with S3 credentials from your Hetzner Cloud project.

Create an access key

  1. Open the Hetzner Console and select the project that holds your buckets.
  2. Go to Security → S3 credentials and choose Generate credentials.
  3. Copy the access key and the secret key. Hetzner shows the secret only once.

  1. In Kelp, choose Add connection and pick Hetzner.
  2. Enter a name you'll recognise, then paste your access key ID and secret access key.
  3. Fill in the connection settings from the table above.
  4. Choose Test connection. When it succeeds, choose Save.

Kelp saves your secret access key in the macOS Keychain. It's never written to a settings file or a log.
